Legislator Rich Nicolello was sworn into another two-year term of office at an installation ceremony at the Legislative Chambers on January 4, 2016. Legislator Nicolello will again serve as the Deputy Presiding Officer of the Legislature and will continue to serve as Chair of the Finance Committee, Vice-Chair of the Rules Committee, and a member of the Budget Review Committee.
Legislator Nicolello stated, “It is a tremendous honor to represent the residents of the 9th Legislative District in the Legislature. I look forward to continuing the work of stabilizing the county’s finances while providing services in the most efficient and effective manner possible. I will also continue to support policies and legislation that encourage economic development, create jobs and keep our citizens safe. This includes innovative, community-oriented policing techniques that have made Nassau the safest large suburban county in the nation.
The 9th Legislative District includes Manhasset, Mineola, Floral Park Centre, Garden City Park, Williston Park, East Williston, and portions of Albertson, Floral Park, New Hyde Park, Roslyn Estates, and Roslyn Heights.
