[ARCHIVED] Valley Stream Robbery

The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 3:40 am in Valley Stream.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, an unknown male subject entered the 7 – Eleven store located at 190 North Central Avenue and approached a 60 year old male clerk. The subject displayed a large knife and demanded the clerk open the register for cash. After the clerk complied the subject fled on foot north on Central Avenue after taking an undisclosed amount of US currency, cigarettes, and scratch off lottery tickets. There were no customers and one employee in the store at the time of the incident. There were no injuries reported.
The male subject is described as being black, 5’8” tall, thin build, gray hooded sweat shirt / “Victory” written on back, black gloves, dark scarf around face.
Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
