[ARCHIVED] Freeport Robbery

First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Freeport on Wednesday, 01/06/16 at 10:30 P.M.

According to detectives, two male subjects armed with a black handgun and black knife, while in a taxi on Virginia Ave., put a gun to the back of the cab driver’s head and demanded money. A struggle ensued between the driver and the two subjects in the car. The subjects then fled the scene, one southbound on Virginia Ave., and the other westbound on Maxon Ave. Proceeds are unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported.

The subjects are described as male Hispanics, 17-20 years of age, wearing dark clothing. No further description is available.
