[ARCHIVED] West Hempstead Robbery

Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:45 PM in West Hempstead.

According to Detectives, a female victim, 73 was at her Wildwood Road residence waiting for a company to arrive to do repairs. A male white subject rang the doorbell. The victim believing the subject to be a worker let him in through the garage. When the subject asked to use the bathroom and the victim escorted him into the house and then back to the garage. Upon entering the garage the victim observed a 2nd subject, a male black holding what appeared to be black semi-automatic firearm who stated give me all the money. The victim then observed a third subject, a male white wearing a mask exit the home from through the garage with subject 1 carrying a garment bag filled with an undetermined amount of jewelry and US currency. All three subjects fled scene in a blue older model Chevrolet towards the Southern State Parkway.

No injuries were reported.

Subject 1 is described as a male white, 30’s, tall wearing a grey jacket and light blue jeans.

Subject 2 is described as a male black, mid 20’s, tall wearing a black leather jacket, black hair and was armed with a black semi-automatic firearm.

Subject 3 is described as a male white, blonde hair and was wearing a mask.
