Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and County Legislator Steven Rhoads today announced that a new 18-hole nautical themed Mini-Golf Course at Wantagh Park is now open.
“Wantagh Park is a fantastic resource that thousands of Nassau County residents are able to use,” said County Executive Mangano. “This wonderful new mini golf facility will provide even more fun for families.”
The Wantagh Park Mini-Golf Course will be open Monday – Friday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. The prices are as follows: resident with a leisure pass: $8, non-resident: $11, children, seniors, ambulance workers, firefighters, veterans, and police with leisure pass: $5.
About Wantagh Park:Consisting of 111 acres, Wantagh Park provides a waterfront location and numerous opportunities for recreation, along with seating areas that allow visitors to relax and enjoy the magnificent view. Residents can enjoy tennis courts, softball fields, a basketball court, a baseball field, a playground, a fishing pier, boat slips, a dog run, bocci and horseshoe courts and a game area for chess and checkers, a senior citizen gazebo and reserved picnic areas with barbeque equipment. There is also 1-mile and 2-mile walking paths that can also be used for bicycle riding and jogging. Additionally, families can enjoy an Olympic-sized main pool, a diving pool, a “kiddie” pool, training pool, an interactive water-play area and two waterslides (30 foot). The pool complex includes various conveniences, including lockers, showers, a concession stand, and lounge and deck chairs.
