Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, along with the Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans (CASA), held a Thanksgiving event on Tuesday, November 22nd at 40 Main Street in Hempstead, where they distributed turkeys, food and winter clothing to families in need.
“I’d like to thank all of our sponsors for their donations, and CASA for putting this wonderful event together,” said County Executive Mangano. “With their help we were able to ensure that people in need can celebrate a proper Thanksgiving with their families this holiday season.”
The winter clothing was collected and distributed by the Kids Helping Kids Organization. Other partners and sponsors for this event, included: Pastor Jonathan Yoon, Arumdaun Presbyterian Church, Bethpage; Long Island Cares; Connect Church; Dr. Chuck Madu; Anthony Antonetti; North Shore LIJ; and United Health Care.
