The County is in search of hospitals licensed by the State of New York, or affiliates or subsidiaries of hospitals licensed by the State of New York, with full capacity to provide quality on site healthcare to individuals who are in the custody of the Nassau County Correctional Facility. Toward that end, the County of Nassau has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for hospitals licensed by the State of New York, or affiliates or subsidiaries of hospitals licensed by the State of New York, to provide health services to individuals incarcerated at the Nassau County Correctional Facility, located in East Meadow, New York. The Facility can house up to 1899 individuals (male and female) at any given time. All details of services required to ensure the health and safety of the individuals are contained in the RFP. The RFP has been advertised on Nassau County’s website (www.nassaucountyny.gov) as well as on the New York State Contract Reporter (www.nyscr.gov) and in Newsday.
RSVPs for attendance at the Mandatory Proposers’ Conference are due on Friday, March 10, 2017 no later than 4:00 p.m. The Mandatory Proposers’ Conference and Site Visit are set for Wednesday, March 15. The County of Nassau reserves the right to issue addenda to the RFP. Dates indicated above are subject to change at the sole discretion of the County.
