Mineola, NY –Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano joined Nassau County Legislator Rose Marie Walker and Sheriff Michael Sposato to congratulate the 28 sheriff’s recruit graduates for 2017. 27 of these men and women have successfully completed their training to join the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department as Corrections Officers, and one will be joining the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office as a Fire Marshal.
“The job of a corrections officer is a very difficult and often dangerous one. It demands the utmost professionalism, vigilance and a distinct skill set,” said County Executive Mangano. “Each of you and your families should be extremely proud of your accomplishments. Congratulations on your new journey and thank you for your service.”
