[ARCHIVED] County Executive Curran Honors Social Services Employee of the Month


Mineola, NY –Nassau County Executive Laura Curran recently presented a citation to Margaret Marslow of the Nassau County Department of Social Services (DSS) for being named the department’s May Employee of the Month.

 

Ms. Marslow has been a Nassau County DSS employee for 15 ½ years and is a Case Supervisor II in Child Protective Services, Unit 4135.

 

“I am so pleased to congratulate Ms. Marslow on her prestigious accomplishment,” said Nassau County Executive Curran. “We are very grateful for her more than 15 years of dedication and service to Nassau County’s families.”

 

The Nassau County DSS is committed to strengthening and preserving families by providing financial assistance and services to residents of Nassau County while providing quality service and maintaining the dignity and respect of those they serve. Specifically, the department is responsible to provide aid to eligible recipients through the Family Assistance, Safety Net, Day Care, Employment, Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly called food stamps), Medicaid, and Home Energy Assistance Programs.
