(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D – Great Neck) recently thanked Solly Kasab, a Williams College sophomore, for a job well done in her legislative office this summer.
During his internship, the Great Neck North High School graduate, who is majoring in political science and computer science, called upon his experience as a peer leader, student theatrical director and event organizer to aid Legislator Birnbaum’s office by fielding constituent calls, assisting with essential legislative office duties and contributing content to Legislator Birnbaum’s upcoming fall newsletter.
Mr. Kasab also attended events with the Legislator, including his alma mater’s Senior Awards night, on June 13. He is pictured, from left, with Great Neck North High School Principal Dan Holtzman, Legislator Birnbaum and Vice Principal Ron Levine.
“Interns like Solly play an integral role in the smooth operation of our district office and help to ensure that the taxpayers we represent receive the prompt and efficient service they are accustomed to and deserve,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “I thank him for choosing to spend his summer working on behalf of the residents of the 10th Legislative District and wish him the best as he continues his studies.”
