LEGISLATOR FORD SPONSORS A MEMORY SCREENING PROGRAM IN LONG BEACH
Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford recently joined with the Alzheimer’s Foundation to sponsor a Memory Screening Event at the Long Beach Library.
“What a great opportunity for many of our residents who took part in this new outreach program. Thank you to the Alzheimer’s Foundation for choosing the 4th Legislative District as one of their first sights.” said Legislator Ford.
The memory screenings consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills, take about 10 minutes to perform and are confidential. The results of the screenings are not a diagnosis but can suggest if someone should see a physician.
