Wantagh, NY – Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, today announced the launch of express bus service between the Long Island Railroad Freeport train station and Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater during the 2019 summer concert season. Bus service will begin May 30th with the Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band show and run on all show nights through September, ending with the final concert of the season on Thursday, September 19th.
Riders can use NICE Bus' n88 service out of the Freeport LIRR station, with concert service starting 90 minutes prior to show time, operating up to 90 minutes past the end of each concert. Pickups and drop-off are located at the East Bathhouse, a short walk across from the amphitheater.
Bus fare is $2.75 one-way for all Jones Beach and Concert service. Riders can purchase tickets through the NICE GoMobile payment app (available as a free download in the app store), using an MTA MetroCard, or with exact change in coins (no dollar bills) for payment.

The addition of the NICE bus service furthers Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theaters’ commitment to reducing their overall environmental impact by offering fans an opportunity to take mass transportation to concerts happening this summer. In 2018 Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, along with other Live Nation amphitheaters around the country, launched a nationwide “Sustainability Rocks” program which deployed over 900 Zero Waste Stations, eliminated plastic straws, installed water refill stations and implemented venue-wide compost programs.
The Long Island Railroad also offers a discounted travel package to Jones Beach from Penn Station / Atlantic Station (Brooklyn) and Jamaica, Queens during the summer months, including NICE's n88 Jones Beach service. Riders can visit the MTA website for schedules and fare info for LIRR service to Freeport.
