WANTED: Youth Summer and Veteran Employment Opportunities
(GARDEN CITY, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Freeport), and Legislator Siela A. Bynoe (D-Westbury) will jointly hold the 8th annual Job/Career & Veterans Fair at Nassau Community College. The Legislators are offering companies, businesses, organizations and educational facilities a chance to target prospective employees, including veterans and youth. The event includes an employment resource fair for veterans. Employers with youth summer job positions special programs for veteran employment opportunities are sought.
Vendor space is available. Registration is FREE for potential employers. Space is limited, so sign up right away for this free event and reserve your spot, complete with a table and 2 chairs. The job/career fair will allow employers to interview job applicants on the spot. Businesses who sign up will be able to discuss and accept résumés from interested attendees with various levels of skills. Anticipated occupation and skillsets will include all levels; blue collar, white collar, trades, apprenticeships, trainees, etc.
Please note that venue space is limited, and a selection process will determine your status. If you are employer who is interested in hiring students for summer, part-time and full-time positions as well as those who have opportunities for our veterans, please indicate when registering.
