She will be joined by representatives from New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau and Nassau County’s Office of Consumer Affairs. Residents are invited to learn about some of the most common scams and raise their concerns. “Too many of our residents have been scammed by con artists, or have been the victims of identity theft,” said Legislator Laura Curran. “I encourage everyone to come learn from the experts on how we can arm ourselves against scam artists and identity thieves – before the crimes happen.”
