[ARCHIVED] Statement by County Executive Laura Curran

I’m frustrated to share that the Assessment Review Commission’s (ARC) website has been down several times over the past 24 hours as we approach the extended deadline to file grievances. This is unacceptable and IT is working diligently with the vendor to resolve the issue immediately. In light of this, I have asked ARC to extend the grace period further to 11:59pm on Friday, May 3, 2019. This is an unprecedented extension. I’ve also requested that ARC keeps their doors open until 7pm tonight to accommodate last-minute filers in need of personal assistance during evening hours. Challenging your assessment is a simple process that can be done directly by the property owner in just a few minutes. The updated deadlines to file a grievance are outlined below.

The deadline to file has been officially extended as follows:

  • Online - until 11:59 pm Friday 5/3/19
  • Paper submission at ARC until 4:45 pm on 5/3/19 or postmarked by 5/3/19
  • ARC customer service will be open tonight 4/30/19 until 7 pm
