Leg Gaylor Holds Town Hall Meeting

On Tuesday, January 28th, Legislator Bill Gaylor held a town hall style meeting in Valley Stream to answer questions and listen to residents’ concerns. He was joined by representatives from the Nassau County Police Department’s 5th Precinct, as well as Nassau County Public Works Commissioner Ken Arnold, Nassau County Consumer Affairs Deputy Commissioner Ken Heino, Valley Stream Deputy Mayor Sean Wright, Valley Stream Trustee John Tufarelli and Valley Stream Deputy Treasurer David Sabatino. The meeting was held at Valley Stream Village Hall.

Over 50 people attended the town hall, and many topics were covered including: police enforcement, crime rates, upcoming road work, the village’s recycling program, red light cameras, traffic lights and stop signs, contractor licensing, the County’s reassessment and New York State’s bail reforms.

“Holding these town hall meetings are a great way for constituents to voice their concerns and ask questions of their elected officials,” Legislator Gaylor said. “Helping people get answers and get help is one of the fundamentals of public service. I always enjoy doing these town halls, and I look forward to my next one.”
