NASSAU COUNTY CLERK TO REDUCE OFFICE HOURS AND LIMIT SERVICES TO ONLY ESSENTIAL BUSINESS

Due to concerns about the coronavirus, Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell has implemented the following policies effective 03/17/2020 until further notice:

• Services will be limited to essential and time-sensitive business only.

• Public office hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm.

• ONLY Urgent Court Filings (with deadlines) will be accepted for filing.

• All other legal documents can be filed via:

o eRecording

o eFiling

o County Clerk Drop Box – (240 Old Country Road, 1st floor lobby)

• Until further notice, the following in-person services will be suspended:

o Passports

o Business Certificates/Religious Corps.

o Notary Public

o Registrar & Notary Authentications/Apostilles

As the COVID-19 pandemic is a constantly evolving and fluid situation, all schedules and services are subject to change and the County Clerk’s office will continue to update accordingly.
