Legislator Drucker - National EMS Week - Breakfast at NUMC

(EAST MEADOW, N.Y.) - To commemorate National EMS Week and recognize the tremendous contributions made by emergency medical services professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) partnered with local McDonald’s owner/operator Josh Kaufman to provide breakfast for dozens of Nassau County Emergency Ambulance Bureau medics on Monday, May 18.

The Emergency Ambulance Bureau, which is a branch of the Nassau County Police Department and responds to emergency calls throughout the County, operates out of Nassau University Medical Center, the County’s public hospital.

“We are proud to honor our Nassau County medics during National EMS Week,” local McDonald’s owner/operator Josh Kaufman said. “They have given so much to the community, especially during this crisis, and we wanted to show our appreciation and gratitude for all that they do.”

“These outstanding Emergency Ambulance Bureau medics distinguish themselves on a daily basis as an indispensable component of the team of professional and volunteer first responders that protect our residents, and I was delighted to partner with Josh Kaufman and McDonald’s to extend this token of our appreciation,” Legislator Drucker said. “During National EMS Week, I’m proud to recognize Nassau County’s medics for their consummate professionalism and salute their life-saving contributions to our region’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
