Repaving on Stretch of Elmont Road Complete;Legislator Solages Thanks County Executive Curran for Commitment to Infrastructure Improvements
(ELMONT and NORTH VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is pleased to announce that the County has completed work on restoring a 1.48-mile stretch of Elmont Road between Sobro Road and Linden Boulevard in Elmont and North Valley Stream.
These upgrades are a component of Nassau County Executive Laura Curran’s ambitious 2020 goal to re-pave 200 lane miles of road for the second consecutive year. These recently completed repairs on a bustling stretch of Elmont Road represent an estimated $370,000 investment in upgrades for Elmont and North Valley Stream residents.
“Many residents expressed concerns to me about the condition of this stretch of Elmont Road and advocated for the improvements that were just recently completed. I am thankful that County Executive Curran took the concerns that I relayed to her to heart and made this important investment in our infrastructure to enhance the quality of life, safety, and economic health of Elmont and North Valley Stream residents,” Legislator Solages said.
