(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - To celebrate Women’s History Month, Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) is partnering with Fidelis Care to present “Virtual Conversations and Reflections” - a series of virtual conversations via Facebook, Instagram live @legislatorkevanabrahams, and his website, www.nassaucountyny.gov/LD1 featuring an intergenerational group of female leaders in their communities and professions.
The conversations, which will air every Tuesday and Thursday on Minority Leader Abrahams’ social media pages, are facilitated by Minority Leader Abrahams’ district office team and Amun Handa of Fidelis Care. Additional support for the series is provided by Lean on Me, Inc. and Denise Jones.
Initial broadcasts feature Sabrina Guo, Founder of Girl Pride International and Long Island Laboring Against COVID-19 (LILAC) and Maria and Leah Awalom, a mother-and-daughter team of community and education advocates from Freeport.
