(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Ahead of a looming deadline for Nassau County homeowners to challenge the assessed value of their homes, Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D – Freeport) and the Assessment Review Commission (ARC) hosted a virtual tax grievance workshop on Thursday, April 22. During the webinar, experts at ARC instructed residents who disagreed with the assessed value of their property how to navigate the grievance process.

Nassau property owners have until Friday, April 30 to file grievances with the county's Assessment Review Commission. The previous deadline was March 1 for the 2022-23 assessment roll released at the start of the year.)
