Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor recently joined Valley Stream village officials and environmental experts from Cornell Cooperative Extension. Together they attended Saturday’s Arbor Day Ceremony at Valley Stream’s Arthur J. Hendrickson Park.
The ceremony featured the planting of trees at Hendrickson Park, the launch of an anti-litter campaign and the distribution of seedlings for people’s houses.
“It is important to promote our environment and continue to strive to keep Nassau County beautiful for generations to come,” Legislator Gaylor said. “This Arbor Day, remember to care for our trees and plant one if you can.”
