(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) visited Sanitary District No. 2’s Grand Avenue garage and office in Baldwin on Saturday, May 22 for their one-stop Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding and E-cycling drop-off day.
Legislator Mulé joined community organizations and her partners in government as a co-sponsor of the event, which gave Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents in Sani 2’s service area an opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data.
“Saturday’s disposal event is one of the many ways Sani 2 fulfills its mission to keep our community clean all year long,” Legislator Mulé said. “I’m always proud to support this event, which gives our residents an environmentally-friendly opportunity to prevent identity theft, discard their expired and unwanted prescription drugs, and properly dispose of electronic waste.”
