Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor and Deputy Presiding Officer Howard Kopel, joined with East Rockway Mayor Bruno Romano to present members of the East Rockway Fire Department with Nassau County service bars for their courage and extraordinary dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bars are part of an ongoing program by the Legislature to recognize and thank all those that gave so much in the last year to keep others safe and healthy.
“Our first responders, were out in our communities answering every call from residents for aide and help during the pandemic, putting themselves at great personal risk,” Legislator Gaylor said. “These brave men and women deserve our thanks, and these bars are just a small token of our appreciation on behalf of a grateful county.”
