Every day, at least one Long Islander dies from an opiate overdose. If you don’t think it can happen to someone you care about, please think again. Overdoses can happen to anyone.
Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor, Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and Supervisor Don Clavin are sponsoring a NARCAN Training/Overdose Prevention Community Forum to help residents learn what to do in case of an overdose and to teach them how to administer the life-saving, overdose-reversal agent called Naloxone, commonly known as NARCAN, which is the antidote to an opioid overdose. All attendees will receive a free NARCAN kit.
SEATING IS LIMITED AND RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED
