
WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport), in conjunction with the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, announces the Carpenters Apprenticeship Training Programs Webinar on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
During the webinar, participants will hear an overview about the Carpenters’ Union, the Apprenticeship program and how to apply, in addition to advancement opportunities. Geared toward applicants who have little or no experience in commercial carpentry, the Apprenticeship program offers residents who are looking for a career, a career change, or those working in the trades who want to join the union, the opportunity to develop skills and talents. This is an earn while you learn opportunity at state-of-the-art training facilities, for people to grow and advance in the Carpenters’ Union. The five-year apprenticeship training program allows carpenter apprentices to earn wages, benefits and more.
