(WOODBURY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) in partnership with the Woodbury Jewish Center, and Always Orthodontics of Syosset joined forces to collect hundreds of school supply donations to benefit the Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club during a successful back-to-school supply drive in August.
“Now more than ever, families across Long Island will need assistance to provide the supplies that will get their children off to a great start in the new school year,” Legislator Lafazan said. “I am so grateful to all of the donors who made this supply drive such a great success.”
“The past academic year has been rough for all our children,” Ellen Feit, President of Woodbury Jewish Center said. “Woodbury Jewish Center is grateful for the opportunity to collect school supplies and give our children a head start to what we hope will be a productive and healthy school year to come.”
“We enjoy working with Legislator Lafazan in his many community service and outreach efforts,” said Dr. Ava Kamenshchik, Always Orthodontics. “Going back to school is always a fun and exciting time for children of all ages, we just wanted to do our part in helping those less fortunate and close to our community.”
“We are so grateful to partner with Legislator Lafazan, the Woodbury Jewish Center and Always Orthodontics on this back-to-school supply drive,” Melissa A. Rhodes, Director of Programs and Professional Development Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club said. “Now more than ever an opportunity like this provides great financial relief for our families getting their kids ready to go back to school. Thank you for your help and generosity!”
