(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Baldwin) joined Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and the members and leaders of the Baldwin Fire Department at the Coral House on Saturday, Sept. 18 for the Department’s 125th Inspection and Installation Dinner.
During the festivities, Legislator Mulé presented Nassau County Legislature Citations to Chiefs Lee Streithorst (2020) and Peter Ortiz (2019) in recognition of their leadership of the department (lower right photo), and recognized William Marmo Sr., Francis Slover and George Waugh (lower left photo) for 50 years of service.
She also had the privilege of presenting Nassau County Legislature Citations (pictured above) to incoming Chief of Department Timothy Hughes; 1st Deputy Chief Brien Cummings; 2nd Deputy Chief William Dworsak; and 3rd Deputy Chief Anthony Hopkins.
“On a daily basis, our first responders go above and beyond to save lives and keep everyone safe - a fact that has become abundantly clear time and again throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” Legislator Mulé said. “It was truly an honor to join the Baldwin Fire Department for their 125th Inspection and Installation Dinner and recognize these outstanding men and women with citations for their achievements and leadership in our community.”
