WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) is once again co-sponsoring Sanitary District No. 2’s upcoming one-stop Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding and E-cycling drop-off day.
From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents in Sani 2’s service area will have the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data at Sani 2’s Baldwin garage.
Key partners in the endeavor include the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union; Nassau County Executive Laura Curran; Hempstead Town Supervisor Donald X. Clavin; and Hempstead Town Council Members Anthony D’Esposito and Christopher Carini.
“As we begin the autumn months and Nassau residents prepare their homes for winter, this event offers our community an environmentally-friendly opportunity to prevent identity theft, safely discard their unwanted prescription drugs, and properly dispose of electronic waste,” Legislator Mulé said. “I’m delighted to once again co-sponsor this important community service with my colleagues and invite everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.”
