(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - In observance of Child Passenger Safety Week, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) partnered with Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, the Nassau County Police Department, Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety and the Nassau PD Explorers to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks at the Baldwin LIRR station on Saturday, Sept. 25.

During inspections, certified technicians applied their expertise toward ensuring that the car seats families use are properly installed and being utilized in a manner that provides optimal protection for the children that will ride in them.

“Nassau County is committed to ensuring that our most precious passengers ride safely this fall and all year long,” Legislator Mulé said. “It was a pleasure to work with the County Executive, safety experts and our partners in law enforcement to offer this service to our residents. The safety of my constituents will always be my top priority.”
