Joshua Lafazan Heralds Arrival of Bayville FD’s Newest Ambulance During Wet Down Ceremony

(BAYVILLE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) recently joined the Bayville Fire Company, local first responders, and his colleagues in government to commission the newest addition to the department’s ambulance fleet. 

During the ceremony, Legislator Lafazan presented leaders of the Bayville Volunteer Fire Company with a $100,000 check - symbolic of the Nassau County Community Revitalization Program (CRP) grant Legislator Lafazan secured toward the ambulance’s purchase.


“This state-of-the-art vehicle will help ensure that the volunteer members of the Bayville Fire Company are equipped with every necessary tool to provide emergency care to residents,” Legislator Lafazan said. “I remain committed to doing all I can as a Legislator to support the first responders and firefighters who courageously step-up day after day to serve and protect every Nassau County resident.”

“Legislator Lafazan asked how he could help support the Bayville Fire Company and the residents we serve. We let him know the fire company was looking to replace our current aging ambulance,” Chief Joe Rogers said. “Legislator Lafazan secured $100,000 in CRP grant funds to help Bayville obtain a new state-of-the-art, modern ambulance. This ambulance will significantly assist the members of the Bayville Fire Company respond to the residents of Bayville Centre Island and Mill Neck residents for years to come.”
