Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor joined with Lynbrook Mayor Alan Beach at the Lynbrook Fire Department Headquarters on Carpenter Avenue to deliver at-home COVID tests to the firefighters in the village. The individual boxes contain two tests per box.
Legislator Gaylor also joined with Mayor Beach, Trustees Laura Ryder and Robert Boccio and Chief of Police Brian Palladino at Lynbrook Village Hall to distribute At-Home COVID tests to the Lynbrook Police Department.
“During the height of the pandemic, COVID-19 hit our first responders hard,” Legislator Bill Gaylor said. “Many firefighters, EMTs and police officers got sick from the virus, and sadly, some died. When many people were able to work from home, these brave men and women had to go in every day and put their health and lives at risk. These at-home tests will help our first responders stay healthy and will help them determine if they have COVID. I will continue to do anything I can to help our first responders effectively perform their duties.”
