County Legislator Kevan Abrahams & Fidelis Care Present a Virtual Women’s History Month Celebration

WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) is partnering with Fidelis Care to celebrate Women’s History Month with a special virtual presentation, “Celebrating Women Making a Difference in Legislative District One.” The event will air on Facebook Live  and Zoom at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26.

Honorees will be presented with Nassau County Legislature Citations during the event, which Denise Louther Williams will host and recite a poem and feature special performances by Charmise Desiré and Shanny Lesile. Scheduled recipients include:

  • Rahsmia Zatar, Executive Director, S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth
  • Regina Armstrong, Superintendent of Schools, Hempstead Union Free School District
  • Ieda Doreen McCullough, Retired Detective Sergeant, Nassau County Police Department
  • Marcella Pizzo, New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Behavioral Health Practice in East Meadow
  • Renée Bodley, Benny B’s, Baldwin
  • Nancy Skeete, Community Activist
  • Stacey Smith-Brown, Assistant Director, Roosevelt Library
  • Kathleen Lyons, Secretary, Uniondale Community Council
