COUNTY EXECUTIVE CURRAN ANNOUNCES OFFICE FOR THE AGING MOVIE SCREENING OF “COCOON”

Mineola, NY - Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced today the County Office for the Aging will be hosting a movie screening of “Cocoon” on Tuesday, June 4th at the Bellmore Movies and Showplace, located at 222 Pettit Avenue Bellmore, New York.  Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and tickets are needed to attend.

“Cocoon” was released in 1985 and is the story of a group of trespassing seniors who swim in a pool containing alien cocoons and they find themselves energized with youthful vigor.  Directed by Ron Howard and starring Brian Dennehy, Jessica Tandy and Nassau County’s own Steve Guttenberg.
