Mangano: Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert Set for June 8th
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano invites residents to join him for a day of fun, sun and blockbuster music at "Concert in the Park – Nassau Helping Nassau" which benefits Hurricane Sandy victims. The concert, being produced by Bobby G – a Wantagh resident and 9/11 first responder, will be held at Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park tomorrow, June 8th from noon to 9:30pm.

Mangano & Rice to Buy Back Guns with Asset Forfeiture Dollars
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced today a Gun Buy Back Program to be held in conjunction with the Jamaica Square Civic Association on Saturday, June 22nd from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pastor Rev. Ralph P. Taylor’s Emanuel Baptist Church, located at 1880 Pelham Street in Elmont.

Mangano Officially Opens New York Cosmos’ New Practice Facility at Mitchel Field
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano was joined today by Presiding Officer of the Nassau County Legislature Norma Gonsalves; Nassau County Legislator Rose Walker; Shep Messing, Former Cosmos Goalkeeper and International Ambassador; Erik Stover, New York Cosmos Chief Operating Officer; Giovanni Savarese, New York Cosmos Head Coach; Carlos Mendes, New York Cosmos Defender and Richard O’Kane of the Nassau/Suffolk Builder Trades at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Cosmos’ new practice facility at Mitchel Field. The New York Cosmos soccer club, one of the most iconic clubs ever in soccer, invested $400,000 in rehabilitating a dilapidated, dry dirt field at Mitchel Field and transformed it into the team’s new practice facility.

Mangano: Belmont Stakes Weekend Kicks Off With Local Festivities And Enhanced Security Initiatives
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano was joined by racing, tourism, business and police officials today as he announced an expected restaurant and hotel boon as well as a major increase in security that will be in place at the Belmont Stakes this weekend. Belmont racing contributes millions to Nassau County’s local economy, which benefits local restaurants, businesses and hotels. For one afternoon, tens of millions of turn their eyes to Nassau’s own Belmont Stakes -one of the largest sporting events in the world.
