Mangano Protects Taxpayers From Another $1 Million In Welfare Fraud
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that the Department of Social Services (DSS) protected taxpayers from another $1 million in Welfare fraud thanks to a $100,000 grant from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) that enabled the department to expand and improve upon its technological and investigative practices. Since taking office, County Executive Mangano has made aggressive efforts in rooting our welfare fraud and abuse.

Mangano, Environmental Groups Outline Recovery Efforts At Bay Park Wastewater Treatment Plant
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano was today joined by local elected officials, environmental groups Citizens Campaign for the Environment and Operation SPLASH, as well as residents of the Bay Park and Island Park communities as he outlined a $1.2 billion Post-Hurricane Sandy Recovery Plan for the Bay Park Wastewater Treatment Plant. Last week the plant suffered a power outage and it continues to run on generator power due to extensive damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Mangano To Host Fundraiser To Benefit Nassau County Empire State Games For The Physically Challenged
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will host a fundraiser to benefit the Nassau County Empire State Games for the Physically challenged Tuesday, May 21st beginning from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at H.R. Singletons in Bethpage. Nassau County will be hosting the Games for its third consecutive year.
