Mangano Announces New, Free Prescription Drug Discount Program
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced a new, free prescription drug discount program is now available for all Nassau County residents. This program was developed by Nassau County and ProAct Inc., a Pharmacy Management Company, to help lower prescription drug costs for all residents.

Mangano Unveils Historic Debt Reduction and Sewer Stabilization Plan
To protect taxpayers and our bays and ocean, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced a historic Debt Reduction and Sewer Stabilization Plan to eliminate $750 million, or 25%, of the County’s $3 billion in debt. The plan also stabilizes Nassau County’s Sewer Authority which is set to face bankruptcy in 2014, as warned by the Nassau County Interim Finance Authority (NIFA) in its October 2009 report.

Mangano Showcases AriZona Beverages as “Employer of the Month
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano (right) today showcased AriZona Beverages, makers of AriZona Iced Tea, as the Nassau County “Business of the Month” and toured their facility. Arizona Beverages is a homegrown New York company, and AriZona Beverage Co-Founder and Chairman, Don Vultaggio (left), wanted it to stay that way. AriZona Beverages has been headquartered in Nassau County since the 1990’s and has built a successful business that is now one of the largest independently owned beverage companies in the U.S., with a 36% share of the retail ready-to-drink tea market.

Mangano Announces Plans To Create New Private-Sector Jobs
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and the Nassau County Industrial Development Agencytodayannounced the approval of an economic development compact that will allowtheBlumenfeld Development Group(BDG)to construct new warehouse space and a maintenance facility next to the builder’s headquarters in Syosset and provide a $7.75 million boost to Nassau’slocaleconomy.
