Learn English and Earn a GED English as a Second Language (ESL) and Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) education is available through the Economic Empowerment Program for Spanish Speaking Americans.

This office assists minority-owned businesses that wish to become county vendors.

Discrimination Complaints - Human Rights Commission 
The Nassau County Human Rights Commission Investigations Unit investigates complaints of discrimination by aggrieved individuals. Cases are accepted on the basis of age, sex, race, color, creed, marital status, national origin, disability and arrest and conviction.

Job Development Center - Human Rights Commission 
The Job Development Center assists all Nassau County residents, with emphasis on minority group members, in finding employment. The Center also refers applicants to job training, and alerts the community to upcoming Civil Service examinations and County job opportunities.
