County Recovery Resources Are In Place

Nassau County crews remain actively deployed following the storm to support recovery efforts and ensure public safety:

The Warming Center at 1200 Old Country Road, Westbury, remains open until further notice for residents in need.
The Emergency Operations Center continues to be active and staffed with local and state partners to coordinate response and recovery operations.
Snowplow and sanitation crews are clearing remaining road conditions and addressing icy or hazardous areas.

Important Safety Reminders for Residents

Use caution when traveling, as some roads and sidewalks may still be icy or obstructed.
Avoid areas with downed trees or power lines.
Move vehicles fully into driveways and off streets to allow DPW and utility crews to work efficiently.
Check on family members and neighbors, especially seniors or those with medical needs, when it is safe to do so.
Do not touch or attempt to move downed power lines.
If you lose power, use battery-operated flashlights, not candles.
Call 911 only for true emergencies.
