On May 5th, Nassau County Legislators Denise Ford, Rose Marie Walker and Tom McKevitt joined with County Executive Bruce Blakeman, District Attorney Anne Donnelly, other elected leaders and law enforcement officers to honor the Nassau County Correctional Officers that gave their lives in the line of duty.
The memorial service was part of National Correctional Officer Week and the COBA Widow’s and Children’s Committee annual Memorial ceremony and was held at the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow, at the monument for fallen correctional officers.
