(SYOSSET, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) congratulated Syosset Troop 170 member Mark C. Kimoto during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor held at the Makom NY Center in the New Apostolic Church Building in Bethpage on Saturday, June 18.
Mark, who resides in Syosset, began with Scouts in 2011. He earned the Arrow of Light Award in 2015 and bridged over to Troop 170 in Syosset. During his pursuit of Scouting’s highest rank, he earned 40 merit badges; his Eagle Scout project entailed the construction of a Sukkah to be used by those observing the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
“Mark’s dedication to community service and his commitment to his fellow Scouts illustrate the principles and values that are at the core of the individuals who achieve Scouting’s highest rank,” Legislator Drucker said. “It was a pleasure to join with Syosset Troop 170 to celebrate Mark’s achievements and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
