The Nassau County Legislature honored two Nassau County Detectives from the Third Squad as Top Detectives for September 2022.
On April 22nd, a man was assaulted at Chuck E. Cheese in Hempstead. He was transferred to Winthrop where he was found to have severe facial trauma and bleeding on the brain. Detectives Ryan Price and Thomas Daly interviewed witnesses, and reviewed video tape of the surrounding area, and were able to get a description and street name of one of the individuals involved in the attack. They located the individual matching the unique description, who implicated a second individual. Along with Hempstead Police, they were able to arrest the second individual, who admitted to the crime.
“Thank you to Detectives Daly and Price for their great work in solving this assault,” Legislator Bill Gaylor said. “Because of their great detective work, they were able to get justice for someone assaulted.  Great job!”
