(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) partnered with NuHealth to bring the breast cancer screening van to the Mid Island Y JCC parking lot on Wednesday, Nov. 16. During the event, women received free mammograms, breast exams, and self-examination instructions from a medical professional.
“Each year, my office works with NuHealth to bring these resources to our community because we all know that early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer,” Legislator Drucker said. “This program ensures that local women have convenient access to potentially life-saving exams and health resources, and I am profoundly grateful to all of our partners who make it possible to provide this important public service year after year.”
