WHAT – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) will proudly serve as Grand Marshal of Baldwin American Legion Post 246’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27.
Participants will muster outside the American Legion hall before proceeding to the beginning of the parade route outside the North Baldwin post office. From there, the parade is set to step off at 9:50 a.m. and progress southbound on Grand Avenue to the Baldwin Veterans Memorial Plaza at Silver Lake Park.
Following the conclusion of the parade, a commemorative remembrance ceremony for all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation will be held approximately 15 minutes after the last marching unit/detail arrives at the park (usually 11:10 – 11:15 a.m., according to organizers).
