(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) proudly celebrated Black History Month with the NAACP Freeport-Roosevelt Branch on Saturday, Feb. 22. Presented in partnership with Choice for All, the celebration of Long Island educators was spearheaded by the Freeport Roosevelt Youth and College Division and supported by Branch leadership. “Educators do so much to support the academic, emotional and social growth of the young people they teach, and they serve as inspiring role models for our next generation of leaders,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I applaud the Freeport-Roosevelt NAACP for recognizing their important contributions through this Black History Month program and highlighting the richness of Black history found in every community in Nassau County and all across America.
