(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and the Baldwin Civic Association joined forces to host their third annual Community Bike Rodeo and Parade at Baldwin Park on Saturday, May 10.
Featuring a group ride, a bike clinic for free safety checks, and more, the event is held each year to bring people together and promote cycling for all ages and ability levels. The event is presented with support from Transit Solutions, Let’s Move LI, Oceanside Cycle, Vision Long Island, the Town of Hempstead and the Nassau County Police Department. Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) was also on hand for the event.
“As a longtime cyclist myself, it is wonderful to see how the Baldwin community comes together to celebrate cycling and learn more about this wonderful form of outdoor recreation,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to all of the families who attended, to the Baldwin Civic Association and all of the sponsors for making this event a great success, and the Nassau County Police Department’s First Precinct for keeping attendees safe throughout the bike route!”
