WHAT - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) is once again proudly co-sponsoring Sanitary District No. 2’s springtime Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding, and E-Cycling drop-off day – an event presented with key support from the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union, the Nassau County Police Department, the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse, and other local elected officials.
From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents within Sani 2’s service area will have the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data at the District’s Baldwin garage.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Sani 2 and a great team of community partners and local leaders to provide this convenient, secure way for our constituents to dispose of unwanted documents, medications and e-waste all at once and at no cost,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “If you’ve still got some spring cleaning to finish up, now is the time to take full advantage of this important opportunity to protect your privacy and keep drugs out of the wrong hands.”
