(UNIONDALE, N.Y) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) proudly joined leaders in law enforcement and his colleagues in government at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence on Tuesday, May 13 to celebrate the graduation of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department Recruit Class No. 114. Thirty-four newly minted Corrections Officers, including two residents of Legislative District 16 – from left, Alex Fernandez, of Hicksville; and Kyle McGuinness, of Farmingdale – embarked upon their new careers after completing 10 weeks of intense training.
“Far too often, the men and women who work so diligently at the correctional center do not receive the plaudits they deserve for their vital contributions toward the preservation of Nassau County’s exemplary level of public safety,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I applaud Nassau County’s newest corrections officers for choosing a career in public service and wish them tremendous success and safety as they pursue excellence in this critically important role.”
