(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly joined the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce for their annual Unity Gala on Friday, May 16.
Honorees at the annual celebration included Roosevelt Fire Department Commissioner Hector B. Tyler Sr., Alejandro and Glenda Carrasco, Laurette Gregory-Blading, Ann Hickson, Mae Geddis, Serenity-Rien D. Spaulding and Chef Erica Carries. Raquel Florez Gonzalez received this year’s Lillian Coggins Watson Scholarship, and Roosevelt High School’s Culinary Arts students were celebrated for excelling in the program.
“The Unity Gala is a beautiful celebration of people who give back and strengthen the fabric of the community by serving as first responders, launching impactful community programs, and establishing small businesses in Roosevelt,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce for bringing us together to celebrate so many incredible and deserving honorees!”
