
(SOUTH HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) had the honor of participating in the South Hempstead Memorial Day parade on Sunday, May 25. Presented by the South Hempstead Fire Department and the South Hempstead Civic Association, the Legislators were joined by their colleagues in government, the South Side Middle School Marching Band, the South Hempstead Police Athletic League, Girl Scout, Brownie and Daisy troops, and more.
“The South Hempstead community goes above and beyond to make their Memorial Day parade a beautiful and moving tribute to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I am thankful to the South Hempstead Fire Department, the South Hempstead Civic Association and all who played a part in making this year’s parade such a meaningful success.”
“Each Memorial Day, our nation pauses to pay respects to the valiant men and women who gave their all and made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of all America holds dear,” Legislator Davis said. “It was wonderful to see how the South Hempstead community comes together each year to honor our heroes and ensure that their courage will never be forgotten. Thank you to the South Hempstead Fire Department, the South Hempstead Civic Association, and all of the community leaders who stepped up to spearhead this year’s parade.”
