(FREEPORT, N.Y) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé was a featured speaker at Freeport High School's Mental Health Awareness Day on Friday, May 22. Held as part of Mental Health Awareness Month in America, the gathering featured an array of events and resources for students related to mental health.
“My experiences as a social worker and an advocate for Freeport schools and our community have repeatedly demonstrated the critical importance of delivering mental health care and working to remove the barriers that prevent people from getting help,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to Freeport High School senior Alyssa Majano for spearheading this endeavor and inviting me to speak on this crucial issue – I applaud you and your classmates for organizing such a successful event!”
